BEING WELL IN BEXLEY
Being Well in Bexley offers a range of Talking Therapies and Support Services to help people who are experiencing emotional distress. We aim to assist with issues which affect mental and physical health and well being and help people recover.
It is an NHS service for people over 18, for people living in this area who are registered with a GP. The service follows NICE (National Institute of Clinical Excellence) guidelines and is designed to offer people the type of therapy and level of help which will be most useful. It follows a Stepped Care approach.
Being Well in Bexley is a primary care service covering steps 1 – 3 of the stepped care approach. This means we can best help people with mild to moderate anxiety problems or depression, including OCD and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) or people who may have emotional distress linked to physical health problems or Chronic Fatigue. Being Well in Bexley is a relatively new service and we are continuing to develop and extend the range of our services to meet local needs, ensuring that we reach minority groups. We also link with our other colleagues at Mind in Bexley to ensure that needs are met and work with our colleagues at the GP Counselling service to ensure you have access to the Talking Therapy that you prefer. We welcome feedback from our service users. You can be referred via your GP, refer yourself (see Self-Refer), or you can ask someone to help you.
